I’m Amy Riordan


I am the founder of Walking in Freedom Ministries, and my heart is to help women walk in freedom as they pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus and discover who they were created to be.

Get to know me

  • As long as I can remember, I have had a passion for helping others. Discovering and embracing who God created me to be has been a huge part of my passion to help other women do the same.
  • I have personally walked through what I write and speak about and try to be very transparent and open with my story. I first started sharing my story in 2010. It was so scary at first, but I quickly discovered God’s grace when I followed through with what He wanted me to do. (Read my story.)
  • I am a certified life coach and owner of Free to Be Me Coaching. To inquire about coaching with me, you can find more info here.
  • I published my book, “Longing for Intimacy: Hope for Women Struggling with Same-Sex Attraction” in 2018, and my second book, “All of You: Hope and Healing for Women Seeking Freedom from Sexual Strongholds” in March 2022.
  • I have discovered that there is nothing better than intimacy with Jesus. If this sounds shallow or weird to you or like it belongs on a coffee cup, (I used to think this, as well) I hope you will stick around here for a while.
  • I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and two teenagers and can often be found taking pictures outdoors, reading, spending time with friends and family, and camping in the summer.
  • I send out an email newsletters where I share encouragement, tools for heart healing, freedom, and building intimacy with Jesus. You can sign up here to receive it.

Eek! Spiders!

I love campfires, nature, and
most living things except for
spiders. Many years ago I
woke up to one crawling
across my face, and I have
been afraid of them ever
since.

Gotta love a good laugh!

If I’m tired and laugh too
hard, I start to cry and laugh
at the same time and can’t
stop.

Nature is my retreat.

I discovered a love of nature
photography in my 40’s
when I was forced to slow
down when dealing with a
chronic illness. This is still a
hobby I love.

Down for the derby.

When my brother and I were
young, my parents took us to
a demolition derby. To
everyone’s surprise, I’m the
one who ended up loving it. I
have gone almost every year
since.
